Occupational Health and Safety Management System

The standard ISO 45001:2018 replaces OHSAS 18001:2007 from 12.03.2018 as a standard under the Occupational Health and Safety Management System. ISO 45001 adopts the high-level framework set out in Annex SL for all new and revised ISO standards for management systems.

 

ISO 45001:2018 is a key mechanism for any organization working in the field of occupational health and safety. The standard sets out the basic requirements for occupational health and safety management, and is a means of helping to improve overall health and safety performance. It encourages more and more interested companies to focus on a risk-based approach to health and safety management.

 

The standard ISO 45001:2018 occupational health and safety management system is applicable to various organizations, in any size and for any type of economic activity. It is especially applied for organizations that have a high degree of occupational risk in their processes and a high rate of occupational injuries.
The degree of application of the requirements of ISO 45001 depends on factors such as the assessed risks to the health and safety of the organization, the nature of its activities and the conditions under which it operates.

 

Certification process

If you are interested in certification in accordance with the requirements of ISO 45001, please contact us and fill out a certification request.

A certification audit is carried out in two stages and, upon successful completion, a certificate of compliance with a validity period of 3 years is issued. Supervisory audits are conducted in the second and third years. 

 

  • A prerequisite

    In order for a certification procedure to be established in accordance with ISO 45001, the organization must possess a developed and implemented occupational health and safety management system in line with the requirements of the standard.
