Testing laboratories
Two of the testing laboratories of CTEC - the Construction Products Testing Laboratory and the Laboratory for Testing Machines, Equipment and Devices were created when the company was founded in 2002. They aim to provide the industrial sector with the necessary expertise and equipment for testing technical products in accordance with national and harmonized European standards. Both laboratories are accredited by the EA BAS in accordance with EN ISO/IEC 17025. In 2005, the Laboratory for Testing Machines, Equipment and Devices was accredited, and in 2010 - the Laboratory for Construction Products Testing.
In 2009, the construction of the Laboratory for Testing Construction Products for Reaction to Fire began. The laboratory was equipped with modern laboratory equipment under a European project. In 2011, the Laboratory was notified by the European Commission and officially opened by the Minister of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Work at that time, Mr. Rosen Plevneliev.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed business worldwide. After analyzing the new realities, the company's management decided to apply for notification under Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on Personal protective equipment, and later to invest in a new laboratory for testing personal protective equipment. In Bulgaria, until now, there is no laboratory for testing respiratory protection products. Manufacturers of protective masks are turning to foreign laboratories and conformity assessment bodies.
After a serious investment of its own funds, in 2022 CTEC opens its newest Laboratory for testing respiratory masks and protective clothing. The laboratory is equipped with modern equipment from world manufacturers and industry leaders. Subsequently, CTEC supplemented its laboratory equipment with new stands, with 50% funding under the Economic Transformation Program from the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan "Technological Modernization in the Enterprise".
Today, the laboratory complex of CTEC includes:
